You know when we are on the brink of London Fashion Week when the British Elle Style Awards crop up. This year's event was another star-studded affair, with appearances from some of major 'slebs including Emma Watson, who won theStyle Icon award, which was presented to her by Vivienne Westwood. The formula for Coca-Cola is one of the most jealously guarded trade secrets in the world. Locked in a vault in Atlanta. Supposedly unreplicable. But we think we may have found the original recipe. And to see if the formula actually might be Coke, we made a batch. Or, anyway, we asked the folks at Jones Soda and Sovereign Flavors to whip up some up, to see if it tastes like Coke. Gucci is synonymous with glamour and what better decade

for the Italian label to hop in to bed with than the 1970s.

The designer, Frida Giannini, cited fashion photographers

of the era such as Guy Bourdin plus the exoticism of

Marrakech as her inspirations. Alternatively, think Bianca

Jagger at Studio 54 and you'll have it nailed.

A key player in this look is the jumpsuit. The all-in-one has

many guises but none is more louche and downright sexy

than the satin version. This one from Marks & Spencer is

perfect with its tapered leg, cutaway halter neck and

jewel tone, colour blocking.

Slick hair, strong make-up with a high-impact ruby lip and

plenty of gold accessories will complete the glamazon

feel. Plus these Topshop sandals are deliciously similar to

Gucci's. Who needs buckets of cash when you have high-

street know-how?

Christian Siriano sent his fall 2011 collection down the New York Fashion Week runway this evening and he featured black on black, muted green, deep rose, full skirts, feminine lines, menswear inspiration, one shoulder necklines on cocktail attire, asymmetrical lines, hand-sewn embellishments, small feathers, touches of flower, traces of lace, modified pencil skirts, leather, sheer fabrics, platform shoes and a classic yet edgy clutch and the north/south tote.

Christian Soriano created a soft, black leather north/south tote for his fall 2011 collection with gold hardware along the edges and one top handle. The tote evoked a luxurious feel and featured a slim width; making it appropriate for daytime use. The tote signals the continuation of the north/south tote trend from the spring 2011 runways.
