Sources in the nightclub industry have told The Mail on Sunday that members of the singer’s entourage were paid handfuls of cash in return for her attendance.

Unlike his colleagues, who promise a colourful winter 2011-2012, Armani sticks to city greys and blacks lightened up by camel in his latest collection, the most minimalist in many a season.

Extra-long coats, as soft and smooth as a robe, were the leitmotif of the show. The accent next season is on the collar, which is asymmetric and standup, with an extra flap to protect against the cold.
